Designed Network Solutions (DNS) is a UK-based specialist company delivering complete technical solutions, hydraulic network design, and an advanced product range to water utilities and municipalities across the UK and internationally. We understand networks at a fundamental level and we redesign them to reduce leakage, eliminate bursts, cut costs, and future-proof the infrastructure that keeps communities supplied.
Our story.
DNS was founded by Craig Stanners with one clear mandate: stop treating network failures as inevitable and start designing them out. Craig brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the water industry — working with utilities, contractors and industrial users worldwide.
The company was built on a specific observation: utilities and municipalities were losing, on average, more than 50% of the water they produce due to poorly installed and maintained network infrastructures and declining manufactured product quality. DNS was set up to address this directly — with specific, measurable, engineered solutions.
Today, DNS provides complete technical solutions across the UK and internationally — combining hydraulic network modelling, advanced pressure management, real-time monitoring, and a specialist product range to deliver networks that are stable, efficient, and built to last.

Craig founded DNS with a single conviction: that transient pressure management was being systematically undervalued by the water industry. With over two decades of hands-on network experience, he has led surveys and installations across the majority of UK water companies — and built DNS into the sector’s most trusted specialist.

Our senior technical team brings deep expertise in pressure transient analysis, acoustic leak detection, and PRV optimisation. Working closely with Craig, they deliver the field surveys, data analysis, and client training that underpin every DNS engagement.
